ABOUT CEUs
One continuning education credit (CEU) represents 10 hours of education provided either in a training series format, an integrated experience at a conference, or a distance learning experience following a prescribed curriculum.

CEU approval is a comprehensive process that requires a detailed application, review by a group of well qualified professionals, and a follow-up evaluation of the course presentation.

The Human Services Management Corporation (HSMC) has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 1760 Old Meadow Road, Suite 500, McLean, VA 22102. In obtaining this approval, the Human Services Management Corporation has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standards which are widely recognized as standards of good practice internationally. As a result of thier Authorized Provider membership status, HSMC is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standards. HSMC is now linked to the IACET web site and is recognized as offering the highest quality continuing education and training programs.

HSMC is approved by the American Psychological Association as a Continuing Education sponsor organization for psychologists. HSMC maintains responsibility for the program.

PERCS is also approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a Type 2 Continuing Education Provider for BCBAs and BCABAs.

When a course offers CEU credit the approval indicated that the course:

  4. Is taught by an instructor who meets certain standards

What can I do with my CEU credit?
Many professional organizations allow individuals to apply CEUs toward the fulfillment of their staff qualifications or licensure requirements.

How will I know if a course offers CEU credit?
Look for announcements in brochures, website, or other course materials that the course has been approved to offer CEUs.
